Old Ronald McDonald commercials

Ronald McDonald has always looked a little disturbing to me (maybe I’m just not that fond of clowns), but these early ads make him look positively freaky!
One thing the ad gets right though: the hamburgers Ronald produces out of thin air look just like the ACTUAL burger that’s sold – soggy and slightly deflated, unlike the pictures of juicy full-sized hamburgers that they use for advertising (and always end up disappointing).

Thankfully I don’t remember any of these commercials! I have to say though, that I do like the MD burgers at Narita. Actually prefer them to larger, greasy hamburgers…and if you can find the green tea shake to go with the burger, it makes for a yummy snack before flying out! 😛

I haven’t had a McD burger in a while – though I HAVE eaten some more fancy-pants burgers (it was a dark cherry cream cheese burger that turned out to be alot tastier than the name sounds). McD food usually makes my stomach queasy – maybe something in the oil they use.

On a separate note, I wonder why I always have to approve your comments now… never used to need to do this…
