Sakura

No doubt most of you have already seen dozens of sakura (cherry blossom) photos over the last week or two (particularly if you follow other Japanese photographers), so I hope you're not too "blossomed-out" :p

This was taken last weekend while out with friends.  It's traditional in Japan during the cherry blossom season to go out for "Hanami" – basically going out to sit under the blossoms and enjoy a meal and some drinks.  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hanami

Though the weather started out cloudy with a 50% chance of rain, the skies cleared and when the sun came out I pointed the camera up and grabbed a few shots.  🙂

Have a good day folks!

No blossomed-out yet…. so far each photographer has a very unique way to capture the sakura, even though I promise myself not to post any sakura picture this year, couldn't resist and end up posting them.

Thanks +Jose Ramon C !  You're absolutely right, everyone has a different take, which is one of the reasons I find photography so much fun.  🙂
