It’s already been a couple of weeks now, but I forgot to post pics of my bed! For a month and a half after I moved, I was sleeping on the tatami floor – not even a futon! (which I really need to get so that friends can stay over comfortably). But, I finally got myself a bed!
To be honest, I was a little surprised that it arrived in pieces. For some reason, I had expected that the delivery people would help put it together, but no – they brought in the boxes, asked me to sign, and poof were gone~
Putting it together was a fun experience though – I have to say I do like hands-on work. 🙂

Congratulations! Wow, amazing seeing the before and after. But is the bed sans mattress/pad more comfortable than sleeping on the tatami mat?! 😉
One thing that pops up on my ‘momdar’ is the electrical socket next to your bed. Urge you to move the bed so it’s not next to that. We recently had an incident where an electrical socket burned out and if there had been something like a bed/mattress/pad next to it, we could have had a serious fire.

Unfortunately there’s no real other place to put the bed unless I turn it so that the head faces the wall. But then that is a very awkward angle and not very practical…
I’ll be putting some more pics up, though my place is still rather messy… starting to think that I’ll have to toss some of the smaller items (have 2 boxes full!) since there’s just no place to keep them…
