Dammed somewhere in Oku hida

First time in a while that I've been able to get a solid (ie more than 5.5hrs) of sleep, and I'm feeling refreshed and ready to take on tonight's +Drink and Click™ Tokyo  get-together!  😉

The rest also gave me some time to go through my backlog of images, and I thought I'd put this one up.  Taken during the trip to Shirakawago earlier this month with +Agustin Rafael Reyes , +Jason Arney , and +Jeff Austin  , we stopped along the way to check out this nifty… reservoir..river?  It was created by a dam (whose shadow looms to the right of the picture), and was just a cool sight to see (though unfortunately I never noted the name of the dam..)

Have a good weekend all!

It was a nice area +Aaron Tang , though how did you get around?  Did you drive?
Also, just out of curiosity, would you happen to know the name of this particular dam?

I used to carpool with the guy who lived on the floor above me, so I could get away with having no car.

Also, a lot of the dams don't have really specific names. Just like no. something power plant dam no. X or something plain like that. So, I don't know the name of the dam.
