City life, reflected

Despite the early hour on a weekend (8AM on Saturday actually), some people still have to go work.  Luckily not me (at least not this particular weekend); instead I spent the day shooting Shinjuku with +andrew holian – much more fun!

There are loads of reflective surfaces in Tokyo, and this was taken at the entrance of a subway station, with the camera pushed up against the wall.  The tree was what initially caught my eye, but I waited until someone also walked by to add the human element that makes street images more interesting.

It's Friday tomorrow and I'm looking forward to shooting the cherry blossoms this weekend – who else is also shooting sakura in Tokyo on Saturday?  🙂

Good night!

trying to visualize how you placed the camera to get this shot.  Is the image on the right the actual image and the one on the left the reflection?  Crazy Monday and my brain's not quite computing 🙂
