Just a super quick post before I rush off to the airport

Here's one of the first shots I took during yesterday's #gplusanniversarytokyo  photowalk. It was a great turnout, and wanted to give a big thank you to all the organizers +Takahiro Yamamoto , +Martin Bailey , +Hidetaka Onoyama , and +Takahiro Yanai (I hope I haven't missed anyone). It was great to see so much of the G+ community, and I had a great time.Unfortunately I can't post any more until I get back (in 2 weeks), but be sure to keep an eye out for the #gplusanniversarytokyo  , #G+AnniversaryTokyo ,  and #G+Anniversary for more great photos taken yesterday 🙂

Final batch for a while

With these photos, I've caught up to June 9th of the #creative366project  entries.  Unfortunately, these will be the last uploads from me for the next couple of weeks since I'll be flying to Singapore for work and though I'll still be taking pictures, I don't think I'll have a chance to upload much (if anything) until I get back around the middle of July, (and G+ interaction from my part will be fairly minimal/low during this time).

Still, I'll keep clicking away, and eventually I'll catch up with the uploads too! 😛

Today's the day for the for the #G+AnniversaryTokyo photowalk!  Looking forward to seeing a whole bunch of people there, and though I personally won't be able to upload much (if anything) of the photowalk until I get back from my trip (I fly out early tomorrow morning so I won't have time to go through the pictures I'll take today), do be sure to check out the hashtags for all of the entries from Japan!  😀

Have a good weekend all!!

A "dash" of humor

I was lucky enough to attend the wedding of two very dear friends during my recent trip to the US.  On the day of the wedding, we all went out to take the wedding photographs (not by me, I was one of the groomsmen) at where I think was called Valley Forge park.

After the group photos, the bride and groom stayed behind with the wedding photographer while the groomsmen and bridesmaids went back to the car to stay cool (it was a pretty warm day!).

As we were watching them walk around, suddenly this jogger came out of nowhere.  I don't think he even noticed that there was a shoot happening until the last minute because he swerved aside onto the grass abruptly for a bit before returning to the path once he'd passed my friends.

Luckily I had camera in hand (of course!), and I grabbed a few frames.  This was my favorite of the bunch and I thought it a fun choice for my #creative366project  entry.  🙂

Definitely a fun memory, and a wonderful day.  🙂

Just a few more #creative366project   shots as I attempt to catch up

Just a few more #creative366project   shots as I attempt to catch up.  I took so many photos while I was traveling that it's hard to choose one!

Just five photos for now – I need to get to bed right asap since I have to wake up early for work tomorrow.

Have a #sleepysunday  and good night!

Solar Eclipse

I'm still going through my photos for the #creative366project  , and have finally reached the day of the eclipse.  It happened to be just a couple of days before I left on my trip, so I didn't have time to upload anything back then..

I was glad to have the chance to see (and photograph) this.  It was the first time I'd ever seen a solar eclipse, and I don't know if I'll ever get to see another one, so this was pretty special 🙂

More than anything, it really made me realize how much we depend on the sun for life because the air got noticeably colder at the moment of the maximum eclipse.  Though it was an exciting moment, it was also nice to see the sun come back out!

Playing catch-up

I realize that I'm now well over a month (and a half!) behind on posting my #creative366project  photos!  I was already a couple of weeks behind before I went on holiday in the US to attend a friend's wedding and visit family and ever since then I've just fallen further behind.

Still, I've been taking pictures every day (crappy though some may be), and I'm going to be making an effort to catch up as much as possible with posting before I go off on another work-related trip next month.

Rather than posting one by one, I'll do them in batches to avoid spamming your streams – here's the first 13!

Goodnight from Tokyo all 🙂

Large insects in general tend to give me the shivers (yeah, yeah, not a very manly thing to admit), but this is pretty cool.

(though I'm glad to be watching it from the safety of my computer screen!)  😛

I've been away from G+ for a while since I was traveling out of the country, but I'm back and have a TON of photos to catch up on!

I know I've missed alot during my absence, but luckily one of the things I didn't miss was the upcoming photowalk for the 1 year anniversary of G+!

For those in Tokyo, please leave a comment on +Takahiro Yamamoto 's post if you can join!  Tentatively, it looks like it's going to be on June 30th, starting from 13:30 to evening.

Hope lots of people can join!  🙂

I haven't thought about the details yet, but why not celebrate the first anniversary of Google+ in Tokyo? Original Idea come from +Thomas Hawk, and it was forwarded to me by +Martin Bailey 😉 It's Saturday, June 30. I'm afraid we will be in the middle of the rainy season, and I'm not sure but anyway … Let's do take a photowalk!

Please leave your comment if you would like to join.
